Minecraft Arch & Curve Generator
Set the horizontal span, rise and thickness to turn an upper ellipse into a block-by-block arch. Follow the row guide, mark progress and export the exact grid.
The grid draws only the curved upper arch. For a doorway or bridge, continue the two endpoints downward with straight columns.

What span and rise mean
Span is the full horizontal distance from the left endpoint to the right endpoint. Rise is the vertical distance from those endpoints to the top of the arch. Equal values make a tall semicircular-looking curve; a wider span with a smaller rise makes a flatter bridge or window arch.
How the block curve is generated
The tool samples the upper half of an ellipse on a discrete block grid. Hollow thickness is created by comparing the outside ellipse with a smaller inside ellipse. The displayed row coordinates, block total and downloaded PNG all come from that same voxel set.
This is a planning approximation for a block world, not a smooth vector curve. At very small sizes, moving the width or rise by a single block can noticeably change a row. That is expected and is why the generated grid is more useful than a purely mathematical radius.
Build without losing symmetry
- Mark the midpoint of the span before placing the curve.
- Start at the top or at both endpoints and mirror each row left-to-right.
- Use the row checkboxes to avoid repeating or skipping a height.
- If the arch needs vertical legs, extend both endpoints downward by the same number of blocks.
- For a tunnel, repeat the finished arch at the required depth and connect matching blocks.

Frequently asked questions
What do width and rise control?
Width controls the horizontal span between the curve endpoints. Rise controls how high the top of the arch sits above those endpoints.
Does the generator include straight side columns?
No. It generates the curved upper arch. Add straight vertical columns below the two endpoints when your doorway, bridge or window needs legs.
Can I share an arch size?
Yes. Width, rise and thickness are stored in the URL, while row-completion checkmarks stay local to your browser.
